Charlotte’s Three Months Old!!

Oh man!!! I cannot believe this gorgeous little girl is three months old!! She is such a little spitfire. She’s starting to talk so much more, she voices her opinion on just about everything. She’s starting to notice more of her surroundings around her, including things like our cell phone and the tv. She still loves her fans though. Charlotte loves when we read her books, she is always so tranced by the photos on the pages. Eric reads to her everyday most of the time before bed. She has started to roll from her back to her tummy, even though she hates tummy time. Charlie is obsessed with grabbing stuff and clinging on to it, especially hair! Her hand/eye coordination is really well, if she wants something she will grab it. She doesn’t really like her pacifier anymore unless she is falling asleep, she will use her fingers during the day to self soothe. Most nights she sleeps from 9pm to 4:30-5am. then will nurse and go back to sleep until 8 or 9am and then will nurse again and sometimes sleep until noon. She loves to smile at everyone. She’s trying to learn how to laugh, but hasn’t gotten her giggle down just yet. She is ticklish on her feet and on her ribs, it’s funny to watch her squirm. She is starting to hate photos, thanks to me. Hence the no smiling in any of her photos above.

This month she will be taking another road trip to Laguna Beach, California for Labor Day, and she will be going to her first MLB game the Dodgers vs Padres. She will also be getting her ears pierced and hopefully with cooler weather soon will get to start playing outside more. We cannot wait for cooler weather and picnics at the park. Bring on all her first holidays, fall and winter. We’re over summer and being trapped inside.

We love Charlie so much, and love watching her grow. Everyday she is learning new things and we love teaching her along the way.

  1. Love your blog and adventures of your daughter. Read about getting her ears pierced soon and think you're a smart mommy for doing it now. This was a perfect age to pierce Charlotte's ears! I believe it is always best done early when they wouldn’t remember and have mommy care for them during the healing phase. When there older, they will think they are a part of them and won’t bother them and have a higher risk of infection when older girls play with them according to our pediatrician.

Babies and little girls with little pierced ears celebrates their femininity and femaleness.

Our ped encouraged me doing it when mommy could care for them. Also, she gave me some tips to add to your info above for moms helping them to find the right person, place and type of earrings to use for infants having their ears pierced. Would be happy to share by e-mail with you or any moms wanting more info.
