DIY Shiplap Wall

Hey there! I meant to write this post about a week ago, but with a little one things tend to get put on the back burner! So sorry!

We decided to close up the wall to this room when we first moved in. (I’ll add picture below of what this room used to look like) The house was built with french doors on each side of this room and one side led to our master bedroom. We weren’t big fans of people being able to see in our room from the Nevada room (all season room) so we enclosed it. When Eric enclosed it he didn’t use thick enough drywall so where the 2x was it was beveled out and uneven. Needless to say it was an eye sore, so I knew I wanted to do something to make the wall look prettier on both the NV Room side and our Master bedroom side. I decided shiplap was a must for the NV Room!

A Walk in the Park – Floyd Lamb Park

Every time we go to this park it is a new adventure of fun! I have personally taken so many peoples photos here and this spot is just beautiful all year long. A few really fun things that Floyd lamb has for kids is Horseback riding, feeding bunnies, going fishing, and every kids favorite thing running.. so much room to run. One thing you should never do though is feed the dang geese those things are so rude and will for sure bite you. If you’re just traveling to see Las Vegas this park is a must see. Disney Park Fashion Guide

We’re headed back to Disneyland and we couldn’t be more excited! Charlotte is turning two and last year we went for her birthday. We all had so much fun, that we decided we’re going to skip having birthday parties and just go to Disneyland/DisneyWorld every year for her birthday until she’s in school and can actually invite her friends to birthday parties.

Happy Tot Whole Milk Yogurt Smoothie!

From Happy Families food pouches, to their puffs, and their teethers I haven’t found a product from them I dislike. We decided to try out their new Happy Tot Yogurt and it was delicious and very creamy (yes of course I tried it first). The great thing about this brand of Yogurt from other brands is that it is made with no added sweeteners! Which is amazing in my book and apparently really hard to come by!

Not the Cutest Easter Rice Krispies

I started this mommy and me cooking project out with so much hope and excitement. Don’t get me wrong the Rice Krispies are amazing and the cute little bunny cut outs are so fun, just the coloring of the Rice Krispies are a little questionable, and not very Eastery. I mean I guess I never claimed to be a professional chef.

Pandiee Diaper/Art Caddy Review

As a mother to an almost 2 year old who loves to color, paint, and do lots of art projects I felt like we were always taking stuff around our house everywhere and we didn’t have a set spot for anything. Pandiee co reached out to me about a week ago and asked me if I would be interested in their product. I jumped at the chance for extra organization in my house! DIY – Mermaid Party Backdrop

When my husbands aunt asked me to design her daughters baby shower invitations I asked her what theme she was going to go with and she said well Rachel’s favorite movie when she was little was “The Little Mermaid” and I thought okay, what about a mermaid theme but take it away from Disney and play off her favorite color Mint, which is also one of her nursery colors. She said yes! Continue reading “DIY – Mermaid Party Backdrop”

Kitchen Renovation – Part 1 – Pricing

There are so many things that go into planning a full kitchen remodel. Way more than I originally anticipated. Honestly moving into a new home that is essentially a fixer upper is way more intense than I originally thought as well (especially when you’re not Chip and Joanna Gaines). I mean there are just so many moving parts that happen each and every day it’s so overwhelming! Continue reading “Kitchen Renovation – Part 1 – Pricing”

Goodbye 6841

Our Breastfeeding Journey – International Breastfeeding Week

Our breastfeeding journey started on May 13, 2016 after 22 hours of labor. Charlotte came into the world on her own time but quickly latched right after thanks to the male (yup I said it) nurse in our L&D Room, he was super helpful and helped get her to latch immediately. We transitioned to our postpartum room, and that’s when things went a little south. It was extremely hard to get Charlotte to nurse on my own, and I was always pushing the little button in our room to ask for help. The first night her nursing was a hit or miss and one of the nurses said, “just give her a pacifier and get some rest.” “We’ll wake you when she’s hungry.” Well folks worst advice ever, because the next morning my child wouldn’t latch at all and it was miserable.

DIY – Painting Our Cabinets White Using Rust-Oleum Transformations

As most of you know if you follow me on Instagram that we have been gearing up to sell our home. Well actually it was listed at midnight last night. We decided with our realtor a few weeks ago that if we just painted our cabinets white, it would give our home a much more updated look.
